Прибор осуществляет определение базовых показателей активности цемента в 1, 3 и 7-суточном режимах, дополнительно по методикам МИ 2488-98, МИ 2489-98, МИ 2625-00 позволяет определять морозостойкость, прочность и водонепроницаемости бетона (раствора).
Прибор используют для определения сроков схватывания цементного теста, также возможно исследование процессов структурообразования по кинетике удельного электрического сопротивления и температуре (опция).
